All 17,798 entities registered to lobby the EU institutions, by the category they chose when registering. Most never meet an MEP; this is the population the declarations are matched against.

Of 114,963 declared counterpart entries, 109,918 could be categorised; the remaining 5,045 entries are unclassified and excluded from this mix. Companies and business groups account for 52.1% of the classified entries.

The 220 names that appear most often in MEP declarations, written as MEPs wrote them. A name links to a profile where we could match it to a Transparency Register identity. 11 of the 220 entries could not be matched to any register entry - some, like the European Commission and UN agencies, are not required to register; others are simply free text we will not guess at.
